Introducing the 1957 Chevy “Piranha”
This area of the web site is dedicated to automobiles that the guys in the shop are currently working on; or just pictures of friends who stop by.
I know many have asked about the purple frame that sat outside the shop; well that was the frame to Bob’s ’57 Chevy Pro-Street truck. It is almost finished now and recently débuted at the Darryl Starbird car show in Tulsa Oklahoma in February. The show was awesome with over a 1000 Entrants. ”Piranha”, as it is called, received a top five plaque in the custom truck division.
It took seven years to complete. Powered by a 461 cubic inch Big Block Chevy engine, TH400 transmission, and a Ford 9” rear end, IT GETS IT!! (I can’t say what it really does cause some police type people might get the impression I’m not a law abiding citizen)
The paint was masterfully applied by Matt Kellogg of Girard, KS and the graphics were designed by Doug Patterson of Patterson Art Works in Pittsburg, KS.
We have planned to take it to several car shows this year and hope to see you there!

Herb’s ‘55 Chevy 5 Window
King’s Master Tech Herb Moerer shows the progress on his 1st series ’55 five window Chevy truck. It’s taken several years but Herb can say he did it all himself when it’s all finished. Wait till you see the color .This truck has a 235 6 cylinder with a factory split exhaust manifold and a 4 speed automatic transmission, which he rebuilt. The truck runs and shifts perfect. Herb was born in ’55, the truck is a ‘55, he paid $55.00 for it and it hopes to have it finished when Herb is 55 next year. We can’t wait to see it finished !!

JD’s ‘64 Chevy 1/2 Ton
JD Fisher pulled his ’64 Chevy ½ ton out of storage so we could get it going again. Replaced the battery and she started the 1st time. His fuel injected small block starts and runs like a new car. Pictures don’t do it justice, this truck is tops in person.

Powell’s ‘36 Chevy
Dale and Judy Powell from Council Grove, KS stopped by for an emergency repair to their Supercharged ’36 Chevy on the way to the Hot Rod Nationals in Springfield, MO.
We did a lot of bench racing at the shop and hope to run in to them again down the road.
